Deuxbits ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Kitili mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use Kitili.
Kitili is built on a privacy-first philosophy. We do not operate proprietary cloud servers to store your personal data. Your shopping lists and fuel logs are stored in your own Google Drive account, giving you complete ownership and control.
By using Kitili, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

If you grant permission, Kitili can capture your location when logging fuel purchases. This helps you remember where you filled up.
Location permission is entirely optional and can be denied without affecting the app's core functionality.
Location data is stored only in your Google Drive and is never sent to our servers.
If you grant permission, Kitili can use your camera to scan product barcodes for shopping lists.
No photos or camera data are stored or transmitted. The camera is used only for real-time barcode scanning.
Camera permission is optional and can be denied.
We use Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports and error logs to improve app stability.
This includes device information (model, OS version), crash logs, and anonymized usage patterns.
No personally identifiable information is collected through Sentry.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:
Your Data Lives in YOUR Google Drive: All shopping lists and fuel logs are stored in an app-specific folder within your Google Drive. We do not operate our own servers to store this data.
Local Storage: Data is also stored locally on your device for offline access. This local data syncs with your Google Drive when you're online.
We Cannot Access Your Data: Because your data lives in your Google Drive, we have no access to your shopping lists, fuel logs, or any other personal information you create in the app.
Data Retention: Your data remains in your Google Drive indefinitely unless you delete it. If you uninstall Kitili, your data remains in your Drive and can be accessed again if you reinstall the app.
Kitili uses the following third-party services:
Used to sync your data to your personal Google Drive account. Google's privacy policy applies to data stored in your Drive.
Used to collect anonymous crash reports and error logs to improve app stability.
Kitili requests the following permissions:
Required to sync data with your Google Drive and send crash reports to Sentry.
Kitili only accesses a specific app folder in your Drive. We cannot see or access any other files or folders in your Google Drive.
Used to record the location of fuel purchases in your gas log. This permission is optional and can be denied.
Used to scan product barcodes when adding items to shopping lists. This permission is optional and can be denied.
You have full control over your data:
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, since your data is stored in your Google Drive, Google's security measures apply.
All communication between the app and Google Drive is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols.
We do not transmit your shopping lists or fuel logs to any servers other than your Google Drive.
Kitili is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
